Chris Linden and Martin Gibson pick up the conversation in the second part of their Business of OTT edition which delves into ActiveVideo's design philosophy and the different approaches used to accomplish client development activity. Martin explains the benefits of adopting a lowest common denominator approach in order to enable as many devices as possible that are capable of HD decode.

When discussing specific key integration points that developers must consider, Martin emphasizes the importance of being able to demonstrate graphics, play audio and video, and integrate with the CDN and DRM.

Key questions are answered including: What sort of timeframe is expected for the integration process? When multiple teams from different countries are working together to support the integration process, how long does it take to get the ball rolling?

Martin explains that this ought to be a quick process, with the focus of all teams being on improving the quality of integration materials, while learning from past mistakes.
