CloudTV H5™ Components
The CloudTV H5™ Platform consists of the following component groups:
Log Server and Log Viewer
In a clustered and/or distributed deployment which consist of a number of different CloudTV H5 components, there is a benefit to centralizing all of the debug and diagnostics log files from all of the CloudTV H5 components into a single server platform whether virtual or physical and which is provided by the CloudTV Log Server provides this functionality. In addition to commonly available SYSLOG viewer tools, ActiveVideo also provides an MS Windows based Log Viewer application to allow administrators to search, filter and view log files.
In larger scale deployments of the CloudTV H5 Platform, it may be necessary for administrators to centrally deploy the operating system and CloudTV H5 platform components. Deploying the CloudTV H5 platform includes bare metal provisioning and package management for each and every assigned server. Please contact ActiveVideo sales for further details.
Also in larger deployments of the CloudTV Platform, automated configuration management of each assigned server may be desired to ensure consistent configuration as well as providing automated system administration tasks and functions. Please contact ActiveVideo sales for further details.
CloudTV H5 Administration Components
Since all of the CloudTV H5 Platform components are built for and run on Linux, the operation and management of the CloudTV H5 platform can be performed with common and industry standard off-the-shelf administrative tools. In some instances, if such operations and management tools are not available, ActiveVideo can either provide some of the tools or provide guidelines and recommendations for 3rd party tools. For 3rd party tools, ActiveVideo provides references and documentation on obtaining, installing and configuring these tools. ActiveVideo does not redistribute these tools or technologies.
All CloudTV H5 components support the industry standard SYSLOG for debug and diagnostic messages, SNMP for health monitoring, and Platform Administration via both command-line and HTTP API's.
