James Blackley – Charter Communications

James Blackley joined Charter as Executive Vice President, Engineering and Information Technology on October 15, 2012. 

Prior to joining Charter, Mr. Blackley served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Engineering and Technology for Cablevision where he was employed from 1996 to 2012. Prior to Cablevision, Mr. Blackley designed software and systems with evolving development and technology with Royal Insurance, Depository Trust Company, Long Island Lighting Company, Con Edison and American International Group.

Chuck Fisher – Charter Communications

Chuck is SVP, Corporate Finance at Charter Communications, and, in this capacity, is responsible for all capital markets, M&A and venture investing activities.  Prior to joining Charter in 2013, he served as Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, LLC.  Previously he was the head of the media investment banking practice for the Americas at Nomura Securities, where he was a Managing Director.  Prior to that he was based in London and led the European cable business for Lehman Brothers.  From 2000 to 2007 Chuck was a member of Lehman Brothers’ US Media & Communications team in New York.  Chuck holds a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University and an MBA from Columbia University, and lives in New York City with his wife Rebecca and their three children.

Patrick Macken – ARRIS

Patrick Macken is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at ARRIS. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the company’s legal function.

Macken joined ARRIS from Troutman Sanders LLP, where he served as partner in the firm’s Corporate Group, providing legal counsel and support to ARRIS for more than 10 years. His legal expertise spans securities law, M&A, capital markets, commercial law and corporate governance.

Macken holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University.

 

Bruce McClelland – ARRIS

Bruce McClelland is President of Network & Cloud and Global Services at ARRIS Group, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing the company's leading portfolio of network technologies including CCAP, CMTS, QAM, Video Processing and Wireline technologies. McClelland's portfolio also features the company's expanding Software Solutions, which include multi-screen support, targeted advertising, personalized content, whole-home technologies, as well as Global Services.

Most recently, McClelland was ARRIS's Group President, for Products and Services, after leading the Customer Premises Equipment Unit as Vice President and General Manager. McClelland joined the Company as Vice President of Engineering, responsible for development of a broad range of voice and data cable TV products.

Prior to ARRIS, McClelland was responsible for the development of Nortel's Signaling System #7 and Signal Transfer Point product lines as well as several development roles within Nortel's Class 4/5 DMS switching product line.

McClelland received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dan Whalen – ARRIS

Mr. Dan Whalen has been Senior Vice President of Sales at Arris Group Inc. since March 2009. Mr. Whalen has over 14 years of experience in sales, engineering, and network operations to both service provider and enterprise customers. Mr. Whalen joined ARRIS in January 2008 as the Vice President of Sales for the Comcast account. Before joining ARRIS, Mr. Whalen served as the Director of Service Sales for the US cable area for Cisco Systems, where he spent seven years in their Service Provider segment.

Prior to that, Mr. Whalen held senior positions with Comdisco, KPMG Consulting and Bell Atlantic Networks. Mr. Whalen resides in New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
